A Roundup of Other Graphic Design and Digital Illustration Projects
Website Design and Development
I LOVE making websites. They feel like a work of magic. Between the layout, the animations, the labyrinth of pages, and the copy… you can really create an entire world the fits within one screen. I have made websites using Wordpress, Squarespace, and Webflow (had to take a 20 hour course to learn Webflow- intense, but so powerful!). I’m afraid my art website is the only live site at the moment, and it’s a work in progress. If you need a simple website built, let’s talk!
Functional Layout Design
Not all of my work has been purely aesthetic. One good example is this summary sheet I was asked to create as a quick reference in a Tabletop RPG game called The One Ring. The game group had trouble remember all the mechanics of combat during game play, and they wanted a single sheet to reference the rules quickly.
It was a challenge to get this much information condensed onto one page. Of course, I wanted it to look somewhat pleasing as well.
The group reported that the sheet served its purpose wonderfully and was easy to use.
Packaging
I was asked to create a lip balm favor to be given out at a youth girl’s camp. My client wanted to stay within a mint and coral color palette.
I created the packaging cover to fit the specific chapstick tubes and also threw in a backing paper to tape the chapstick on so that it would be harder to lose.
I’ll admit I don’t have much other packaging design experience, as I work mostly in digital design and illustration, but it’s not out of the question.
Posters and Signage
A poster I made combining digital illustration and graphic design techniques. I used Procreate to draw the girl and Photoshop for the rest.
Digital Products
For a bit I ran a small Etsy shop selling a variety of digital products I designed and illustrated by hand. I decided to close the shop following some big family changes.
Here are a few samples from what I sold:
Lunchbox Notes
Coloring & Activity Pages
One of my most popular activity pages.
I still use this each year with my own kids.
