An eclipse isn’t a symbol of transformation.

It’s a symbol of renewal. It’s a reminder that although things change, they also stay the same.

Some may notice a certain energy shift during an eclipse, but the finite world returns to business as usual once the eclipse has run its course.

This painting depicts an eclipse in all of its phases, including the sunset effect running along the bottom of the canvas. I painted this from footage taken of the 2024 Great North American Eclipse in the days that followed the occurrence.

This piece is dear to me because it was the first piece I painted after deciding to make a real attempt at becoming a professional artist.
