Infatuation is widely considered one of the most inspiring of feelings. The excitement, the hope, the oxytocin… it all starts flowing when you meet that special person. Many works of art have been created as a result of this feeling. Including this piece.

I painted this beautiful early morning scene to depict the feeling of a new crush. The sun is only just rising, and you are rowing steadily into a beautiful pink mist containing all the possibilities of a wonderful day ahead. What actually waits on the other side of the mist… what challenges lie in that mountain ahead…. Well, let’s just not think about that just yet.
