I had a random idea one day.
What if you could get a candle that when lit, produced a familiar. What would it be capable of? Would you use it as a friend or a servant? Would the familiar disappear forever once the candle burned down?
I never answered these questions, but I did make it into a painting.
I am teaching guided painting workshops around this piece this autumn.
